The Forest of Dean is the perfect location for dogs in particular as there are miles upon miles of footpaths to explore and lots of good forestry smells to investigate.  

Many dog friendly pubs in the Forest (information about these in the cottage manual).

If you wish to visit an attraction where dogs are not welcome, we can recommend two local pet sitters who offer very reasonable rates and will look after your dog in their own home.
