The cottage is located behind Albion House, our home, which is a Grade II listed Tudor and Georgian house on the edge of Mylor village. ‘Little Albion’ is separate from the House with it’s own entrance and driveway and has views across to fields with horses, cows and pigs.

In fact our pigs, Piggsie and Lottie, love to be visited and scratched on top of their heads! We also have chickens and can usually supply you with some free range eggs from our happy chooks!

           

Little Albion has its own private courtyard with BBQ and outdoor table and chairs and you are welcome to use the large garden for picnics and the grass tennis court (please ask first) ... or the trampolines (at your own risk!).

There is ample parking for cars and boats (we are very close – 5 mins drive – to Mylor Harbour for launching).

Our two attractive stone and slate holiday-cottages are situated on the farm which dates from at least 1340. The Wales Tourist Board’s 5-star rating confirms the quality and comfort offered in these characterful converted farm-buildings

Walk about 500 yards through our fields to Abereiddy beach and enjoy the bay and beach with rock pools, sand and pebbles. The now famous Blue Lagoon, with its iconic tower, is at the northern end of the beach

The area also offers much to those looking for something more relaxed. The area within walking distance of Porthiddy Farm West offers tranquillity combined with stunning scenery, and there is plenty more to experience within easy reach. This page offers just a handful of our favourite local sights. As the coast path is so accessible from many points, you don’t have to undertake a major expedition to sample the beauty of the coastline; a wide selection of excellent beaches awaits your bare feet. On at least one day, tear yourself away from the coast to explore the small city of St David’s within six miles and Fishguard is nine miles. There are occasional buses.

The building used to be a piggery and a shippon and there was evidence that farm workers and/or servants had once lived over the piggery. The self catering property has been tastefully and comprehensively converted to provide a self catering cottage.

There are many local footpaths and access to the canal towpath through the farmyard gate. Stretching for over 40 lock free miles, the Lancaster Canal winds its way from Tewitfield in the north to Preston in the south. This particular stretch is very attractive with views across the fields over Hollowforth Swing Bridge, one of only two swing bridges on the canal.

The centre of Preston is less than five miles away to the south, a surprisingly short distance given the peace and tranquillity of our location, very handy for both business and leisure visitors. Myerscough College is even closer to the north of us.
