There is always plenty to do – walk along the coast, find a spot for a picnic, enjoy a swim in the pool or relax in the sauna. Children are safe to roam or let off steam in the games room and soft play area or the two outdoor adventure playgrounds. A small shop supplies most things you might have forgotten but there’s no need to cook - the restaurant and bar serve meals and snacks all day.

We welcome tourers, tents and trailer tents although one of the few drawbacks of this area of outstanding natural beauty is its uneven ground which means that we are unable to cater for as many tents as we would like to. The best thing is to get your booking in early.

Surrounding Holgates' Silverdale park there is a wide variety of scenery, from historic ruins to sandy beaches. The historic city of Lancaster and seaside Morecambe are a short drive away and within half an hour you can be in The Lake District with its stunning landscape of mountains, fells and lakes.
