Situated just outside the village of Commondale, set in the heart of North Yorkshire about 17 miles due West of Whitby.

The area boasts gentle or challenging walks, award winning museums, delightful villages, easy access to Heartbeat and Herriot Country, the charming seaside town of Whitby and the history of York.

Diving Duckling is situated adjacent to the famous Esk Valley railway line which meanders through some of the most beautiful scenery in the country and also links with the North York Moors steam Railway at Grosmont. From there a further excursion can be taken under steam power to the market town of Pickering.
