is a picturesque village set in the heart of the North York Moors National

Station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which runs through the beautiful
scenery of Newtondale between Pickering and Grosmont.

is the market town of Pickering, where you will find a variety of shops
including a supermarket, Post Office and several banks. Pickering also has a
heated indoor swimming pool with flume, a sports centre and cinema.
In
the area there are many castles, abbeys and stately homes including Castle
Howard (home of Brideshead Revisited). On Yorkshire’s Heritage coast the
seaside resorts of Whitby and Scarborough have good sandy beaches with Robin
Hood’s Bay and other quaint fishing villages all only a short drive away.
