Riverside is situated in the small hamlet of Westport mid
way between Langport and Ilminster and about half an hour's drive from the
county town of Taunton. It makes an ideal base for touring, visiting the many
places of interest in the area.
Yeovilton's Fleet Air museum, where the prototype of
Concorde is housed with many more famous and interesting displays. Cricket
St.Thomas, originally made famous by the TV series "To The Manor
Born", and more recently as a Wildlife Park is near. In the locality are
several National Trust Properties, famous for their architecture and gardens
with Barrington Court less than 2 miles away, Montacute House and Forde Abbey
also near.
