the years our children, parents and grandparents have enjoyed the peace around
the lodges in Blackmuir Wood and had ‘adventures’ in the forest surroundings.
Our
tranquil Forestry Commission setting enables you to escape the hustle and
bustle of everyday life and have a traffic free holiday, should you so desire.
Blackmuir Wood, which surrounds the lodges, is a walkers’ and bird watchers’
paradise. Young children have the perfect playground of trees and sticks a‐plenty on the doorstep and
our dogs think it is their ideal holiday too!
The
forest road is closed to traffic and makes an ideal forest walk, guaranteeing
you a tranquil forestry setting to relax and enjoy your holiday!
