The cottage contains two twin bedrooms (one with a bunk bed) and a comfy lounge with sofa-bed. A fully-fitted kitchen comes with modern appliances and the bathroom features a power shower. There is also a secure private garden with rear access. ‘Tolkien’ self catering cottage is ideal for families with younger children and can sleep up to six.

Oxford – (14 miles from Chilton/20 mins by car) perhaps the most famous University city in the world. Oxford is steeped in history and boasts magnificent architecture.

Roman City of Bath – (66 miles from Chilton/1-hour drive) Nourished by natural hot springs, Bath offers a unique experience with stunning architecture, great shopping and iconic attractions.

There is a swimming pool in Didcot (4.5 miles) which is open daily. There is also a cinema in Didcot which is 5 miles from Chilton.
