Our privately owned Lodge is situated in an elevated position enjoying extensive views of Wansfell. The well appointed contemporary accommodation has a bright and airy feel, benefiting from double glazing and central heating ensuring you can escape to the countryside at any time of the year.

Although in the countryside Windermere and Ambleside is only approximately 15mins drive away, with the centres of Bowness, Hawkeshead and Grasmere only a short drive away offering a wide range of shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions.

The onsite facilities include a small shop, children’s adventure playground, and a large recreation field with football and badminton nets, “The Haybarn” which serves good food and local beers. For dog owners there is an enclosed dog field, the Breck and of course many walks straight from the site.

The Leisure facilities and swimming pool located at Whitecross Bay, are available at an additional cost payable locally.

Glenwood Lodge makes a good base for a relaxing break or for a more adventurous activity break.
