Although no longer a working farm, horses, dogs cats and chickens may also greet you on your arrival. 

The cob and thatch construction of the main house, built in 1594, reminds us that this is a open countryside, steeped in traditional values and history. This is the land of Coleridge, Drake, Raleigh and many others who have had their influence on British history.

Although easily and quickly accessible from all parts of the UK this remains a quiet and peaceful place and it is from here that Gill and Patrick Roberts and their family welcome you to sample the space and countryside that still exist in such abundance in Devon.

Our two cottages, Swallows and Bats, offer people a comfortable base from which they have the opportunity for as quiet or as busy a time as they wish, to relax and get away from the pressures of modern life, or to have an active holiday with all that Devon has to offer.
