This
traditional and comfortable inn is located in the village of Elterwater. The
village gets its name from the lake that is half a mile from the village.
The pub
offers rustic and seasonal dining with a changing lunch and dinner menu. A few
examples of the dishes we serve are Cumberland pate with a port sauce or fresh
sea bass fillet and slowly braised minted South Lakes lamb. With regards to
beverages there is a different guest beer each week as well as the core
favourites.
The pet
friendly pub is in a quiet location with many attractions close by, Ambleside
and Lake Windermere are only 3 miles away and Hawkshead and Coniston just a
little bit further. The area has a range of walks of varying difficulty as well
as various places to bike ride. If you want to go further afield then there are

Lakeside Aquarium, Wordsworth Trust and many more.
