holiday cottage has beautiful views over the surrounding North Devon
countryside and has its own private access and parking area.
The Big
Sheep, The Milky Way and The Gnome Reserve are just a few of the places nearby
for children to enjoy. The sandy beaches of Widemouth Bay, Bude and Westward
Ho! are all close by (don’t forget your surf board). The unique and beautiful
fishing port of Clovelley traffic free and paved with cobbles, Dartington
Crystal, Tamar Otter and Wild Wood, the Tarka Trail, Hartland Quay and
Peninsula to name but a few. A visit to the island of Lundy which boasts more
than 400 species of birds including Manx shearwater, guillemots, razorbills and
the delightful puffin is a really special day out.
There
are numerous National Trust properties in Devon and Cornwall. The Tamar Lakes
are perfect for walking and enjoying wildlife they also offer a variety of
water sports. For garden enthusiasts the RHS garden at Rosemoor is a must,
other gardens include Broomhill, Castle Hill, Clovelley Court Garden, Docton
Mill, Hartland Abbey, Marwood Hill and Winsford Walled garden.
